The Los Angeles Police Department had a busy night following the Laker’s Championship win just nights ago. As anticipated the celebratory crowd got a little out of control but LAPD managed to handle the situation far better than in situations past.

This LA Times article points out that after the 2007 Immigration Rights protest that ended with several innocent non-violent protestors being beaten, the department overhauled their crowd control methods in an attempt to maintain order without resulting to violence. [Read More...]

The Mayor of Bell, Oscar Hernandez is in disbelief that his tenants would actually have the goods to start a super lab beneath his nose and on his property. That, however, is exactly what the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is claiming.

Two men were arrested at the home that Mayor Hernandez originally rented to a small family. The arrestees included the father in the family as well as a house guest who had been staying with them from out of the country.

The Mayor states that both men were released from Sherriff’s Department custody later that same morning, but the Department would not confirm this. The Department did say that materials were found within the unit that would be capable of producing 20 pounds of methamphetamines in a single batch, making it what authorities refer to as a “super lab”. Chiropractor Erinn Tamney Randall is looking at serious California felony criminal charges in the arsons of her home, and two of her offices. All 3 fires occurred within hours of each other and involved thousands of dollars in damage.

Randall’s first business fire occurred at her practice in Loyalton. She has not been charged with starting this fire yet as it is still being investigated. She was pulled to safety from that fire at approximately 6:30 am Monday morning. [Read More...]
