California Sexting Charges for Teacher
A substitute teacher in San Mateo is charged with having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a 17 year old student at the high school.According to the San Mateo Daily Journal, the 44 year old male teacher was charged with the felony sex offenses of “communicating with a minor with the intent of a lewd act” and “sending harmful matter with the intent of seduction”. He was also charged with the misdemeanor offense of improperly touching a child.
According to the details provided, the teacher and female student exchanged hundreds of explicit text messages and engaged in phone sex.
If convicted, the man could face 6-7 years in prison for the felony offenses, as well as being designated a federally registered sex offender.
